I was working on the idea of having the aluminium sheet from the donor keyboard. JLCPCB can fabricate that part too, but the cost is going to be epic for short runs of anything like that.
On an entirely different topic, whilst we were playing 2P SWAG and Drogna today, I realised a useful feature would be a connector to add a secondary keyboard either as a simple matrix or just another BBC keyboard.
Also some way to map a digital joystick to particular keys via a kind of plugboard like an Enigma. It just needs a few pin headers and some plug pairs (the joystick would still need an interface as there is a single common)
