I haven't played Growing Pains so I don't know what the problem would be with that. Exile would be massively problematic as it takes so long to play and you can also save your game.Tapper is perhaps the only one that springs to mind for me right now.
After Uncle Claude featured last season, I was going to suggest Growing Pains, but I don't think anyone would forgive me!
Great to see a couple more Inufuto games have been suggested! Also see a couple of suggestions that I do not find to be suitable for the HSC. Exile is, arguably, one of the greatest ever Beeb games - and has a sensible scoring system - but there's a reason we don't play it here.
I'd like to get people playing Open House too but, as you can start on a number of different rooms, I dunno how we'd standardise it
I've never actually completed Exile due to the frustrating bits after you use the nuclear reaction to destroy the rune door (invisible birds, robots with massive hp, etc.). It wouldn't be appropriate for the HSC as we tend to favour games that can be played quickly (although we do sometimes find out that some nominated games can go on forever, if played by a skilled player). I'm a bit confused as to why you mentioned it as I didn't see it nominated by anyone. I'd love to see Citadel nominated as it's probably my favourite BBC (and Electron) game. Unfortunately it doesn't fit the HSC rules (limited high score of 99 points and WAY TOO EASY to complete).
I'm sure, if you looked hard enough, you could find a few more games that would be acceptable. I generally only pick games that I knew were good on the Electron as I never had a BBC, back in the day. A lot of the games that we've played in the HSC, since I started in Season 11, I hadn't even heard of due to them being exclusively BBC only on release and yet I've still managed to nominate consistently decent games.
