Don’t mean to jump on your reply immediately but I happen to have just hooked up a frogger board to the monitor to test it. It’s what was on the bench and after a couple of adjustments I’ve got a picture. It’s a pretty reasonable picture still but the focus is all the way up (or down) and I’ve definitely seen crisper pictures out of these. Next step is to see what the geometry is like on my ZX Next. Difficult to tell from a frogger.
As for the other, yes, it sounds like that one. You have to do so much just to slide the pcb out and get to the lopt area. I haven’t looked at it since I was in our last house but I know my patience ran out with it. It nearly ended up in a skip when we moved as we downsized and I had to be brutal but I was of the same opinion that it was likely still a dry joint somewhere so it got moved with us.
