Thank you all.

Interesting comments. Yes in my distant memory (I have not touched this machine for probably over 30 years) I remember a screen full of garbage which the Reset Keys caused the correct boot screen. But this is not what I am seeing. Most of the time (I have probably only powered it on 10 or so times over the weekend) the system boots straight up to the D/C/W/M prompt (slightly different as we have the WEMON) but once or twice it has powered up with that basic display but a few random 0's or something dotted around the screen and the keyboard responses do not seem to register. A reset (or three) has cured that on all but one occasion. Sometimes it looks like it is jumping to some sort of Machine Code editor.

Kind of related, not surprisingly after so long, the keyboard is a tad flakey and one of the 2 Reset keys does not work and so (for now) I have soldered a simple push button across both. Is there a way to get contact cleaner into the switches does anyone know?? The 'D' key does not seem to work either!!!

But, after picking up the composite output on J2, the basic system is looking good which was a real surprise :-)

Thanks again.

Dave
As a side note, the forum at https://osiweb.org/forum/search.php?search_id=newposts is very helpful, as is the site at https://osiweb.org/, even though it is primarily geared towards OSI machines there is often chatter over there about the UK101 series as it is so closely related to the OSI600D.

I've found having several sources of information definitely helps when it comes to these machines.
