Yes, and I think it didn't help that quite a few of the tracks seem to be badly tarnished where there is no continuity reading at all.

I will look at getting some sort of conductive paint but I do worry with that sort of thing that it's going to need a very steady hand not to veer into neighbouring tracks and join them all together!

For now I have repaired the keyboard of a fashion. I did a couple of patches with tinfoil and sellotape but the track right at the bottom of the membrane which was was for B, N and others seemed to have several breaks in it and a just couldn't fix it with foil, so in the end I sellotaped a length of solder over the track which did fix those keys. Then I found space and left Win and left Ctrl not working and for those I had to use insulated wire to join the pads to another pad but this has made some keys a bit sticky now where the wire is raising the rubber domes.

I don't expect it to last long, and it was probably more effort than it was worth but at least I can have a root round this old PC and see if there's anything interesting on it.
