I used TUTSIM circa 1986 at Strathclyde University. We were using Atari STs, a platform that isn't documented by TUTSIM's developer.
I don't think it would be any use with the interface box you have. TUTSIM is a numerical simulator package for modelling dynamic systems like rotating machinery, spring/damper loads and system control scenarios. You give it initial conditions and a system definition (typically in terms of differential equations), and TUTSIM models the response of the system over time.
If you have disks and manual, please make sure they are archived. TUTSIM seems to be an undocumented release on the BBC Micro. There's a chance, though, that you have the CP/M version for the Z80 Second Processor. Even so, there aren't any copies of that archived.
It might sound a very dry piece of software, but for those who need it, it replaces lots of very fiddly numeric coding.
