Thanks Jonathan. That's really helpful.
I've put a breakpoint in at &911D on both stations 23 and 222 and neither are BREAKing when I run the *REMOTE code on station 222. I'm running NFS3.60 on both machines.
The BeebEm debug session on station 222 shows that it is spinning around a very similar bit of *REMOTE code at &0E8A, and that it is repeatedly reading &7F from (&9E),&0C:
I need to figure out what bit of NFS code is meant to be updating (&9E),&0C and then figure out why it's not changing.
Hmmm. Not too sure about that. I'm testing this using two BeebEm machines. Station 23 and station 222. I'm trying to *REMOTE into station 23 from station 222. In terms of terminology, I assume station 23 would be the remotee and station 222 would be the remoter.Your remotee is probably spinning here, waiting for a reception from the remoter:Code:
LDA #&7F :\ 911D= A9 7F ).LDY #&0C:STA (&9E),Y :\ Remote NetRx receive flag.L9123LDA (&9E),Y:BPL L9123 :\ Wait until reception
