Electronically things are going well with the next version of the Atom board - but I am having trouble getting the AtoMMC to work. It was fine on the previous version of the board - though that used the 2532 type of the ROM.
I have this version:I downloaded the A000 version of Atom MMC 3.02 and burnt this to a 27256 EPROM, duplicating the code to fill the entire EPROM - even though the unused address pins are tied accordingly anyway.
If have the MMC connected, and the PL8 IRQ jumper closed, it fails to detect at boot. If I perform LINK#AFFC, then I see the MMC version message, but the machine then hangs.
If I leave the MMC unconnected, and perform the LINK command, I see the MMC message, and control returns to the screen.
Any thoughts as to what could be going wrong? To my mind, all that has changed is:

- ROM image
- modifed reset signal using 555 timer, rather than the previous RC circuit. The reset is working flawlessly in all other ways.
