So moving this on - just in case anyone is still paying attention
I have applied a suitable power supply to the now removed WE cct board however:
I don't appear to be getting 5V on the VCC pins of any of the ICs It is in the region of 130mV
But before I press ahead I was wondering how much 'juice' I should select on my power supply?
Currently I have set it to 18V DC to match what was coming out of the transformer.
I have set my power supply to 0.5A but was wondering if that was too low? but something in the back of my mind tells me that under no load it shouldn't matter
I don't want to overdo it so can anyone suggest a safe and suitable current value to use?
Thanks
