8-bit acorn hardware • Beta testers wanted for I2C 4 U Rom for Electron AP6

Ever since I upgraded my Electron Plus 1 with Dave Hitchens AP6 expansion the unused RTC and I2C features he had included on the board had been niggling me. :D After a lot of help from Dave and the kind supply of the I2C Beeb ROM source code by MartinB [-o< , I have created a build of the ROM that works with the AP6 RTC. :)

The end goal is to include this in the AP6 mega ROM, to support other features, until then I figured I would ask for help from other AP6 users to give it whirl, in its standard ROM format. It can be written to ROM or loaded of into sideways RAM for testing. I have uploaded it into a GitHub repository, along with the code. This does not replace MartinB's existing builds for the BBC and Electron with AP5 in anyway - those can still be found in the usual place.

I have attached for ease an SSD and ROM file ("I2C 31EAP6 Beta"). Everything apart from the temperature feature is implemented see Martins main thread for instructions https://www.stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10966. More instructions at my GitHub page here https://github.com/fozretro/ap6rtc?tab= ... -1-and-ap6.

Note: You will obviously need to fit a battery CR1220 (38mAh) or CR1225 (48mAh) in the AP6 holder provided for the time/date to be retained on power off. Removing the AP6 board can be tricky as its a tight fit, so please please [-o< take your time and of course the same for putting it back.
