Another interface project I set up with the BBC Micro was (I think from memory) was measuring resistance in a circuit. The set up included wiring and two short copper bits of pipe - connected to the user port.

If you squeezed the pipes hard enough you could change the resistance - enough to be measured on the Beeb. I wrote a bit of BASIC to graphically show the level of resistance change.

We used this at a local summer church fete - as a "stength-ometer" - the harder and sweatier you grabbed the pipes, the better score you got.

I also suggested (I was 14 at the time) it could also be used as a "kiss-ometer" - with each partner holding a copper rod and then the wetter and more passionate the kiss, the greater the score. As you can imagine this probably would have been frowned upon by the church goers (and the vicar) at the fete, so unfortunately I didn't see this application come into being.

I wonder if this would be easy to set up on the night?
Ooft behave! The only thing getting near my lips is Tea and potential Cake from Mrs Tosk. I side with the Vicar!

Maccy Update:

Yes I know its not Acorn, but since I had it along thon time... Its getting packed up and shipped out this week for its recapping and fettling. Found a chap in Ireland that does classic macs.
