Bit of a necro post but I thought I'd add this in here instead of making another thread...

I found this strange oddity on US eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/183940779566

Seller threw me a $75 BIN offer, so I took it for kicks. What I found very interesting was the Electrohome serial number tag with zero model number, but the words "MADE IN UK", which made me immediately suspect this was some kind of rebranded Microvitec, in light of PJTech mentioning Electrohome-badged Cubs a while back. By the way, it's 120V, despite the tag declining to answer that question.

Well, it arrived today... with no working red gun. Took the back off and was shocked to see this:

Sure enough, it's the Series 13 neck board... and our problem was dodgy joints on neck board input connector PL801. Now, why does it have that extra PSU-looking thing up at the top left of what appears to be an open frame embedded chassis Series 13? You can't see it well in the photo, but right next to it is an ELO 2210 resistive touchscreen controller. There is a resistive digitizer stuck to the front of the CRT, which makes the image slightly diffused in appearance.

I forgot to mention the other part: because this seems to be built by literally just taking an open-frame Series 13 and shoving it into a metal box, there is no way to take the top off like one can with a Cub. You must remove several screws from the bottom and slide the whole chassis out the back. Did I mention this thing is also a 23kg/50lbs monster? That's why I haven't really had too good of a look at the internals yet, but shining a flashlight and looking from just the right angle reveals the words: SERIES 13 DRIVE DEFLECTION PCB.

So, to recap, it would appear that our mystery Electrohome is essentially an open-frame 120V Series 13/AKF50 stuck in a very heavy metal box with an ELO resistive touchscreen... something that I had no idea ever made its way to the States. Wild.
