After playing "Aerial", I thought I'd get back onto the keyboard problem again. I think I've made some decent progress. Learning KiCAD and then upgrading from v5 to v8 and then learning all over again #-o I went with a double sided board to avoid all those damn jumpers all over the place. I also added a BREAK link to allow the blocking or asserting of the BREAK key to be handed off to something else, for example, a reed switch. As for the vast hectares of space, the only function I can think of would be an internal GoTek or an SD card reader. I do wonder at the mindset of Acorn when the ashtray was to feature a ROM that could only be loaded like a cassette? I've got a few Beebs with the extra edge connectors and ribbon (they also have speech) - not much s/w for that - Overdrive?
