Regarding the discussions on directory structures and where to put the master files, a common method, that I use with MUGINS, BeebMail, and ABZ Teletext, is to have a single configuration file that contains a pathname to the main files. Save that config file in the system library and/or in the root directory. MUGINS uses !MUGINS and clients look for !MUGINS, $.!MUGINS, %.!MUGINS in that order, and it contains a single string, for example:
>*TYPE %.!MAIL
:USER.MAILSYSTEM.BEEBMAIL
>*TYPE %.!COMDAT
:SYSTEM.TELETEXT.ABZTELTEXT
:SYSTEM.TELETEXT.ABZTELTEXT.PAGES
>*TYPE %.!MUGINS
:APPS.NETWORKING.MUGINS.MUGINS2

A variant of this is a *command in the library which doubles as a config file, which starts up the software loading it from where the main files live. For instance, *MUGINS has the ":APPS.NETWORKING.MUGINS" pathname and it uses this to start ":APPS.NETWORKING.MUGINS.HELLO" and give the user a list of options to continue from there, so that %.MUGINS file could be used to provide the resources path.
