32-bit acorn hardware • A310 2 faults 1 Not finding SCSI drive 2 Floppy drive

I will start with the floppy drive , I did not know this was faulty till I tried to find drivers for SCSI drive.
I have tried another drive & that works OK (Not the right one for A310) .
The light comes on when computer is booting but I get the error Drive Empty, the Heads do not do anything no seeking or even trying to park.
I suspect the motor but I have been wrong before.
Any Suggestions please.
