We have dug out an old phillps personal monitor. This produced more encouraging results than any of the other displays I've tried so-far.
The archimedes is certainly trying to display something and it appears to be text, unfortunately either the monitor is faulty or the archimedes is not producing a correct video signal with the result that whatever the archimedes is displaying is not readable.
I've also noticed that my scart cable doesn't appear to have the "RGB mode select" line wired up. I may try building a cable with that line wired up and trying the scart input on the M2262D again.
I am suspecting that while I am holding down the delete key, that some fault is preventing the key press from being detected.
