Well, we've finally managed to get an ABUG together in Squamish. We have a new member to the crew and that's our fun loving, energetic friend Wim who came up with Paul to rejoice in some retro goodness.

So, Paul brought Wim with him to Squamish. Wim has been attending retro meetings Paul has been having at his home. Many different types of models of computers are shown off and a lot of technical information is exchanged and of course gaming challenges happen.

I think Wim was doing something to get his Electron to work properly but not sure. It's a nice little machine that he seems to get a lot out of.

Paul did actually get a higher score this day before the new game for 2 weeks started up.....

Wim got his Electron into a usable condition so he could show us some programming details....

There's a back story to this picture. I went to one of Paul's retro meetings at his home and Wim brought out this magazine with an in depth review of Doom and some interesting details. I didn't have time to read it, barely got started on it when the night came to an end. Wim offered to lend it but it's a mag that is a keeper so I didn't want to do that. He remembered and kindly brought it up to Squamish where I spent most of the ABUG reading about DOOM and various interesting things on DOOM. It was very kind of you, thank you Wim.

Well, gaming is a big part of our ABUGs and Wim and I are trying our best to up our scores.

At lunch time I entertained (hopefully) the guys to a little music to help digest the food....

This was my highest score on this game to date and in fact it's still my highest score.....

Well, all too soon it's time to pack up and leave and we've done another ABUG. We only got 2 in this year, much was going on but hopefully next year we'll get a few more in.
Now it is up to Paul to continue the story and give us another fresh perspective on the day...
