This is my plotting routine .... old school .... unroll all sprite plot code for speed.
Erase and plot the sprites in the flyback (2036 usec) and update the addresses in the rest of a frame time (14631 usec).
Have to do this at 1 mHz so this can draw about 15 balls at 60 Hz.
Plotting 9 lines takes a lot of extra code and time in the flyback .....
