RiscPC 700. CF card IDE. CF cards and adapters I've used without issue before. But on this machine, for reasons still not fully understood, I was often getting disc errors. After some consideration, I decided to replace the 245s that drive the IDE port as these often fail on other machines. No dice. ![#-o]( "d'oh!")
Then I paid more attention to the actual error. Disc error 20. Which, for IDE, is "No DRQ when expected". Ahh... let's try sirbod's ADFS patch. Yep, that works!
So I still don't quite understand why this one RiscPC needs this fix for these CF cards that seem ok in other machines. It feels like there must still be some hardware difference.
