Answers to the questions:

1. I assume you mean what the UPDATE CPLD menu reports, in which case:
6-12_BIT_BBC_CPLD_v79
6-12_BIT_BBC_CPLD_v94
6-12_BIT_YUV_CPLD_v91

2. I used a fresh SDHC card and fresh download of RGBtoHDMI_20240213_e630d36f, then selected ATOM as the profile.
I also tried after Restore Default.

3. OK. But doesn't the fact that the RGBtoHDMI produces no speckling or sync problems on my other ATOM suggest it isn't an RGBtoHDMI
problem or is it common that it, even though two machines are the same make/model it'll work on one but not the other? I'm just
asking out of curiosity as you're the expert.

DAC-F was 70, DAC-G was 90. Stable Vsync with DAC-F in range 72 to 83. So, DAC-F set to 77 and auto-configuration done.
That gave zero errors for phases 5&6 and set the phase to 5. Unfortunately, going back to the welcome banner screen, the purple bar is still
there, though the vast majority of the red speckling was gone (and was mainly restricted to the top and bottom of the screen, predominantly
the bottom).

4. No. I replaced all electrolytics.

As a digression I was never that good at graphics but at one time managed to produce a screen showing a range of pulsating purple polygons. I thought that this could not be surpassed. I fear that this problem is their revenge.
