Understood.Scattergun replacing all four is rather an extreme move, in my view. It's rather unusual to have a fault here, let alone all four (!) ICs. Remember that BD is driving in to to other ICs, so I think it'd be quite wrong to immediately assume the latches (IC42,43...) are necessarily at fault at all. I don't like to waste silicon or start just ripping things out of boards for no good reason. You can make your own choices there though
I have re-probed all of the latch outputs, switching the power off and on each time, the pins that were held high were IC42/43 Bd1, IC45/46 Bd9 and Bd11. Each time I powered the board on, these 'High' pins did very briefly flicker down.What exactly was the "Bd example 2" that was just a constant high? You need to probe these things DURING the POST sequence as it may only be active momentarily.
