Ah yeah, thanks (again). To follow up on some boring details, AmigaKit have been ignoring me for weeks, but then responded within minutes when I said I was opening a credit card dispute. Unbelievable. I've ordered a Gotek instead from *the* Gotek guy in the US instead, should be a week or so. And I'm going to use exactly the same battery solution in the Amiga 3000 as I made for the Master. It generally does - squirt a bit in and hammer them, they start going again. If it doesn't you can desolder, unscrew the pins (one at a time) and scrape the tarnish off them.I did find 4 keys that are not working - perhaps some contact cleaner will do the job. I think it's the earlier Master keyboard, not the Cherry one.
As for the keyboard, I did remove all the key caps and wash them (mainly dusty) and apply a good deal of contact cleaner, and honestly, it's worse! In particular, the 'C' keep no longer works, which is tricky for configuration, and some of the bottom row keys that do work sometimes produce an extra '3'.
I'll follow your advice when I get a chance, but if I'm after a few key switches as well, it seems like it's going to add up from eBay prices.
As for the case screws, I'm not 100% sure which ones they are from other posts, but they are apparently #6 or #8 Philips self-tapping in 2 different lengths. Can be found at Amazon in packs of 100 for about $7, or I can go to my local hardware store and pay the 4x mark up I guess if I only need a few.
