8-bit acorn emulators • Re: MAME 0.276 and disk writing?

I should probably look at an update to 0.282 but I've installed from the Debian package manager and that's the version they have released in Trixie. I was wondering about the disk writing but as I'm at the bottom of a steep learning curve with MAME I'm still finding where to look for settings and how disk images work, the hint about disk images only being written when they are ejected is very helpful.

I tried bbcbp -

Code:

mame bbcbp -window -nomouse -natural -tube zep100w -flop1 Easy/easy_d1_80_ds.dsd
the machine runs but it reports No room for MCP. bbcbp128 machine runs but does not recognize the tube or the MCP roms. As you've suggested this can you confirm it's working in 0.281 onwards?

The installation process so far
  • RUN JUNIOR
  • You should see a line announcing CIS COBOL then it shows the piracy warning stage. press return.
  • At the Company name screen, Put some name/address data in each field. TAB completes to end of lines and moves to next field.
  • When you get to the number of lines per page, enter 60. Press return.
  • ALL OK press Y, press return.
  • At the screen that tells you Easy Junior will be irrevocably configured, enter Y and press Return again.
That's as far as I get before it hangs. I've repeated using torchh as you suggested and end up at the same point. I will go back and check my disk dumps as I still have the original floppies.
