It's 5.9+ free - I didnt want to load the board until I was sure that the supply is fully sorted so for now I am running on the bench power supply. I am going to start by replacing all of the caps starting with the electrolytics so that aligns with what I was thinking .. good to know that the nominal resistance is closer to 450R as I was thinking 200 was on the low side. I have also got signs of battery damage residue on the board around what I think are the ROMS - not entirely sure why they are in 32 pin sockets but the ROMS are 28 pin ?? I am going to replace the sockets I think.5.6-5.9V under load or free?PSU outputs 5.6v rising to 5.9+
..
somewhat concerned that the board may be fried by a high output PSU historically but lets see...
IME, boards survive high voltage (don't ask how I know) so I wouldn't worry too much about it now - but I wouldn't want to run it that hot really.
200R is a bit low - look for more like 450R 5V-0V when not connected to the PSU. Some electrolytics failing?
