I don't know about the Superbrain, but in other systems, that use "normal" (Shugart Associates "standard" interface) floppy disk drives, as long as the drive supports at least the required number of tracks (equal or greater) the computer will not be able to tell any difference. The important thing being that the disk and drive both use the same number of tracks and the width of tracks/head(s) is compatible.
