Hi all,
I upgraded my RISC PC 600 to RO3.7 and it lost access to the CD drive, there's no CD Icon and running *ROMMOdules shows all CDFS stuff present but with CDFSDriver and CDFS listed as Dormant. Much the same as this thread https://www.stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=30309 but as I will get on to the fix for that didn't work for me.
I tried plugging 3.5 back in there and it showed up fine so I know I've not broken anything; I've searched around and tried various things, I saw on this thread viewtopic.php?p=431847#p431847 and tried running *FX 162,138,1 and rebooting, and that just seemed to throw up a lot of errors on boot and took ages to actually boot as well, I then tried *unplug CDFSSoftATAPI but alas that didn't work either even after reboot, I then tried re-running that FX command with *unplug CDFSSoftATAPI unplugged, and that didn't throw up anymore errors, and showed a CD icon, but pressing it brought up a CD Drive not found error, I tried running *Configure CDROMDrives 1 which didn't error this time around, but it also didn't do anything, rebooting then cause the CD icon to disappear and CDFS and CDFSDriver are both "Dormant" again.
I have had several people ask me if I have a Cumana CD drive that's connected via a daughterboard, which mine is, and then allude to needing extra steps but not gone into much further detail, does anyone else know what is needed to make these work?
