What cable are you using to connect the BBC to the monitor?
Do you have a ground loop?
Is the monitor grounded, or floating? i.e. the earth pin on the AC mains plug is connected to the chassis of the monitor and its external ground pin. The BBC does this, so the earth pin on the AC plug is connected to the chassis of the power supply and that in turn is connected to the 0V rail and all the 0V pins of every connector including the RGB port and UHF port. Do you have the schematic for the board? If not, get it here download/file.php?id=88867
There is plenty of software available at the Stairway to Hell website https://www.stairwaytohell.com/
There is also an exhaustive fault finding thread https://www.stardot.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2190 both for looking through and adding your own experiences to.
Best of luck getting your Beeb going![Very Happy :D]()
