Already done the PSU caps, Tricky, the blew the first time I tried it. Luckily I disconnected the board first.
I think the 6845 is shot, as the hsync is running about 4khz, with vsync about 1hz.![:(]( "Sad")
Working through checking clocks as chip selects first.
Might have a memory problem also.

Welcome, barn find suggest it might need a few chips wiggling as well as caps (to prevent any more smells)
