Wow! Somehow this release slipped by me - only happened to notice it when I visited bbcmicro.co.uk. I had, previously, seen your "looking for sound advice" thread but not the other dev thread. Think you're just not naming your threads meaningfully enough?

Anyways, that's by the by, as this is FANTASTIC! What a fabulous idea to have the play area start invisible! Combined with the sonar pings this becomes very atmospheric :)
The control system really takes some getting used to but makes perfect sense. I was able to win my very first game on Red Rock (at level 1) but have failed at everything I've tried since 😂

It reminds me a little of something which someone mentioned they'd have loved to see a Beeb version of:

Gets me wondering what else you could use this cave scroller code for...
Thank for the comments about the game. I think for my other game "Infinite Porridge" I put 'Game Release' in the title of the release post, I'll do that for any future games. It's really helpful to get some feedback, otherwise it just seems like I'm throwing games into the void and not knowing if anyone is enjoying them at all.
I think there is recent game 'Polymer Picker" for the BBC that looks similar to the scuba diving game in your link.
Although I surmised that there must have been games set underwater in the past, I had never seen Scuba Dive until after the release of Polymer Picker. What an amazingly well put together game for 1983, the animation of the sea creatures is stunning.

One of my throwaway ideas for PP was a form of deep sea diving, with a torch to shine your way, but have different monster logic, so that the sea creatures lunge out at you from the dark. Too ambitious an idea for a Mode 2 game - I can fully appreciate how difficult it was to shoehorn complex code into a tight space when you've lost 20k just from the choice of screen.

I've not tried your game yet, but it looks excellent. I look forward to playing it :D
