Hi Tricky, I didn't implement the inband command palette mode, but i would have come to the same conclusion, since it's sampling the video output it can't actually tell which video mode its in, it might be possible to detect mode 7 and reset it, but if you've got an Electron or a Master then it's not guaranteed to reset to mode 7 on Break, so you'd be stuck with the NULA emulation, and you would need to reset it on the device since you would not be able to read the screen since it would be reinterpreting the character pixels as mode 2 colour data.
