off-topic • OSSC 800x600 ?

With so many raving about OSSC, I thought I'd give it a go (KAIKO 1.8), and for 640x480 VGA it's fine, but can't seem to make it deal with 800x600 out from an A5000. OSSC website states that it supports up to 1080P, but above 640x480 VGA, it doesn't scale, it's just pass-through, which would be fine, but that isn't what happens for me - I just get no output (on a 'very capable' SONY TV).

Has anyone else been successful with OSSC at 800x600 (MODE31) or other modes than 640x480 when set to 'VGA'/'SVGA'?

I'm asking this here before daring to engage more OSSC-specific forums as I fear the issue may be Acorn-specific - OSSC doesn't even mention Acorn at all on their list of supported machines and I'm also aware use with SVGA is somewhat esoteric anyway - but I had hoped OSSC would be an "everything solution", and it's proving far from that because lots of other lower-resolution screenmodes also fail to produce output - for example MODE 12 or MODE 13 when configured to monitortype 3 (VGA) also show nothing via OSSC -- now, sure, these are 'letterboxed' MODEs, but still, I did expect OSSC to be a complete master of video and it seems like it's not that at all. TV (15kHz) MODE 35 also vertically overscans and I've been unable to pull that in to line. All a bit disappointing so far really.
