It's a horrible catch22 - the module that provides the Configure option only activates if there's a CDROM drive configured.I have a RISC PC running 3.70 ROMs. It's got a CDROM drive and IDE hard disk. The hard disk is working fine, but had a corrupt !Boot, which I have renamed to install a clean Uniboot. However, it doesn't show the CDROM (which I want to use to load software) as a device. Running :
*Configure CDROMDrives 1
fails with "Configure option not recognised"
Looking at *ROMMODULES shows a bunch of CDROM stuff, including CDFSSoftATAPI as "Active". However CDFS and CDFSDriver are both "Dormant" - is this the problem ? If so, how do I fix it ?
Fix it with an FX command to poke the setting directly, then reboot.
But you knew this already : viewtopic.php?p=431847#p431847
