32-bit acorn hardware • A7000+

Hello ,
I bought an original A7000+ in OVP from an old Acorn dealer for the festive season.
Acorn dealer.
Apart from the fact that the battery has blossomed a little, the computer is perfect.
I have removed and replaced the battery and the computer works perfectly.


According to the data sheet, it can display 256 colors at a resolution of 1024x768
and at 800x600 32000 colors.

Are there any settings that I have overlooked?
at 800x600 I only get 256 colors and at 1024x768 only 16.

I changed the monitor type but that didn't help either.
RISC OS 3.71 is installed and I have added 32mb to the 8mb onboard Ram.
The monitor is a BBENQ 712
But I can't get the desired resolutions.
What am I doing wrong?
