I am slowly getting my head around the Beeb but still not quite out of noob land..
I have a Master 128 which I am slowly upgrading and getting into shape to use to teach computer science at a SEN school I run.
I have a couple of issues I cant solve posted below - not sure if they are related ?
I have recently fitted the IFEL MegaRom which boots ok in MOS 3.2 and 3.5 positions but in the MOS 1.2 position it returns with

Searching
File not found
BASIC

no commands such as *ROMS or *FX work and return
Bad command
The second issue is Gotek related
if I use tricky's menu
Method
- new USB thumb drive
- Formatted Fat 16
- Copied all files from the !GOTEK _MENU/GOTEK extracted from zip (467 items inc DSKA0465 and FF.CFG)
- Fired up the USB from Gotek selected the first file
- Shift Break
- Menu shows up
- Select a game
The screen shows
GOTEK din
Card ?
*
If I select 0 or any number it returns
Disk fault 18 at :0 02/00
