I think PiFS is exhibiting "authentic L3" behaviour here. Here are a few examples from my A305:

Logged on to RPC L4 file server, directories are stamped:

Logged on to PiFS Linux NFS mount, directories are not stamped:
A305Net3,ff9.png
Logged on to PiFS local storage, directories are not stamped:
A305Net2,ff9.png
Logged on to Level 3 file server, directories are not stamped:
A305Net1,ff9.png
Same situation from the RISC PC showing PiFS local, PiFS remote and L3 locations:

However, on a Beeb, PiFS does show directories with a date stamp:

So I think it would be good if PiFS did show timestamps for directory objects on RISC OS machines as well.
