I think for repeated loading and unloading and transportation, perhaps the boxes I am using may not be durable enough. But for storing in shelving where the boxes aren't stacked on top of one another, where doing that renders the lids liable to cave in under the weight above, it's not been a problem. Even with the house move earlier this year, where over 100 boxes were moved in two main operations, first the house and then later the storage unit, everything survived.
If I was moving kit to a different country, or continent, I think I'd want to charter my own aeroplane or cruise liner and keep everything in view during the journey!
