Bitshifters are pleased to announce Ghouls: Revenge! The ghost is back!
We've always loved Ghouls, despite the slightly fierce difficulty level, and its 40th birthday this year felt like the perfect excuse to give it a bit of an update in time for Hallowe'en.
60 new levels will entertain, amuse, and challenge.
Of course, the original 4 are included too!
Two new game modes will help take the edge off the difficulty curve: Infinite Lives (but still don't expect it to be too easy!), and Time Attack (race purely against the clock). And if you want to try to make it with just 4 lives, you still can.
If you feel inspired, use the level editor to create your own new levels! This is the exact tool we used to create the levels supplied, so it's got everything you'll need. (Magic Mushrooms was a big inspiration. You get the same quick feedback loop here.)
Get it from the official page: https://bitshifters.github.io/posts/pro ... venge.html
Many thanks are due to the heroic level design team, stardotters kieranhj, sbadger, Dave Footitt and VectorEyes - who also provided many excellent suggestions, that have added to the game and editor generally. The original plan was simply to give the code a very quick wipe down and cobble together 4 new levels, but thanks to their efforts it's turned into a lot more![Laughing ]()
And a thank you to Dethmunk for the smashing Mode 2 title screen.
This was a lot of fun to make, and we hope you enjoy playing it too. Any feedback or problems, please post in this thread!

P.S. I took the liberty of posting this here rather than in the bitshifters "new BBC Master games" section, because Ghouls: Revenge runs on the full BBC range: B, B+, Master and Master Compact
