Hi Kees,
As I get older, I am less keen to play games which require fast reflexes, and instead I enjoy more puzzle-like games. I had a decent go with Trees & Tents, and I thought I might give you a little feedback.

First, the game is really cool: it has a Minesweeper-like logic to it which makes it accessible to those of us who have spent way too long playing Minesweeper.

However, it's not particularly responsive; this might be due to the MPAGD platform not optimising the code. I find when I get my eye in, I want to be able to block out several squares in a row, and the sequence move--space--move--space--move isn't quick enough to keep up with me. That impacts playability and the sense of "I need to try again".

Second, especially on the bigger levels, it's easy to get lost, and realise you've made a mistake. By then it's hard to backtrack manually. It would be great if you could include a "restart" key, to restart the level to just the trees, so that you can go again without manually resetting every square or quitting completely.

Third, if you get completely stuck, it would be nice to have a quit feature which shows you where the tents should be, rather than X which just quits you back to the menu.

One minor comment would be that we don't really need to have the keys displayed on the R side of the screen. Maybe a running timer would be a better use of the space?

Anyway, thanks for the game.
