Ah, after a few hours of staring at it sorted the foot out.
The line was too long so shifted some some of the commands onto another line and it works OK now.![:)]( "Smile")
Have also tested the program on my BBC Micro B and it works fine. I think some of the keys are a little sticky and they register multiple times occasionally but thats not the fault of the program.
So linked below is the program on an ssd file that can be loaded onto a BBC or Beebem:

So a big thanks again to everyone who has helped over almost the past year to get this done, was my dad's birthday yesterday so good timing in the end.
