Thanks very much for the encouragement! It's been a fun project and the best sort of procrastination when it comes to actually working on Beeb projectsDoes this work on Linux or is it Windows-only? My current project is using acme rather than beebasm so I can't really try it now, but if I can overcome my inertia it would probably be good to have a go with this in the future.
It's designed to be fully cross-platform as we rely solely on JavaScript / TypeScript in the extension. I've tested on Mac and Windows for this version. The only thing about the extension that needs care for Linux/Mac is if you use the build tasks as they reference the Windows .exe versions of BeebAsm and BeebEm but those are fairly easy to switch out.
Thanks! You've got the right version for the new functionality, so it's a bit strange it isn't showing up. One guess is if you are clicking in the command palette instead of using the shortcut ctrl-shift-p (or from the menu View -> Command Palette...). I do that by accident far too often.I agree too! You work on this is much appreciated, the previous updates were a great leap forward.
I'm very used to working with VS Code, BeebASM outputting to BeebEm that moving to another emulator is taking a bit of getting used to... nonetheless, setting break points in the code would be great.
I've followed your guide, but when I type ‘BeebVSC: Create source map’ I get no matching results... everything before that seems to work fine.
I'm using version 0.3.0.
Thanks.
