Hello,
So my A410 has decided to stop working and it appears to be the dreaded clicking - or ticking - problem in the power supply. I have since opened it to have a look, hoping to see a bulging capacitor, dry solder joint, burned resistor...anything suspect...unfortunately, nothing! I therefore decided to desolder and test C9 (470uF 25v) and that is fine too. I am not sure what I should do next...start desoldering and check every capacitor?
I was considering finding a modern replacement but I think the single - 5V rail may be difficult to replicate.
