not impossible if your beeb blows up the userport cb1,cb2,pb0-pb7 with an experiment
and you place that 6522 chip in ic3 you machine will work still as ca1,ca2,pa0-pa7 (the printer port) for the keyboard but not the leds![#-o]( "d'oh!")
so try swaping ic3 with ic69 ??
maybe if the second 6522 is not broken the machine give more live and show led on ???
