Possibly, though I think since NFS & ANFS seem to do this, it may be disproportionate effort for an unlikely return! (Plus nothing would change - the return byte will still not be what one might expect!)Would a poke around an NFS ROM disassembly (far beyond my skills) help clarify whether both the Acorn document and NFS are wrong and should return a Rx block size?
In the meantime, I’ve altered the PiFS’s new FS Ops to have termination characters in the replies! (Implementation thereof being how I found the “feature”!)
