This in a way is a negative contribution.
My Windows 10 PC uses a USB floppy drive. I use HD discs (1.44Mb) and these read perfectly on my A3010, A3020, A4000 and A5000 machines as well as the PC. In my case I have formatted the discs on the PC first rather than the Acorn machine. No problems.
One thing I did notice is that some HD floppies do not like Acorn - PC - Acorn transfers. Reformatting on a PC seems to cure the problem.
